77th Audley Cub Pack
Children can join Cubs from the age of 8. They can move to the next Section, Scouts, when they are 10 1/2.
There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, climbing, rowing, archery and hiking. You can earn badges which you then wear on your uniform.
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping or have sleep-overs. This will mean you sleeping in a tent or a special building, and doing loads of outdoor activities.
Becoming a Cub
Cubs make their promise when they are invested into the Cub Pack. Once the promise has been made the Cub Leader will present the new pack member with a necker, a woggle and joining badges.
The Cub Scout Promise is (although there are variations for other religious beliefs or YP with no defined faith):
I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and the queen
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law
The Cub Scout Motto is:
Be Prepared.
